It seemed to be a body from WWII !

The hillsides around what is known as the Kokoda Trail are littered with rusting guns, grenades and mortars - reminders of the strategically crucial battles that raged there in 1942 and 1943.

Mr Collins was leading an expedition of 19 assorted off-duty police officers, businessmen and photographers along the Trail - thought to be some of the most rugged hiking terrain in the world.

The discovery was made on 28 August, by one of the members of the expedition - a man who has requested to be referred to only as John.

He had stopped to take a photo of flowers in the canopy, Mr Collins told the BBC.

"If you knew the trek, you don't often look up, because you're watching your footfall the whole time - it's very slippery and muddy, and can be quite dangerous," Mr Collins said.

"John stopped to take a photo of the canopy, and saw something that didn't seem quite right through his viewfinder. He watched it for a little bit longer and the wind blew, and caught it, sending it spinning, and it seemed to be a body."

There was an immediate sense that an exciting discovery had been made, Mr Collins said, and other members of the expedition team were called back to take a look for themselves.

That it was a body was not immediately apparent, Mr Collins said.

"I'll be honest, I couldn't even see it at first, because it was quite high up in the canopy, about 12-15 metres [40-50 feet] up," he said.

But once again the wind blew, and it started spinning and dangling. That was when you could make out the shape of a body. But it was covered in moss, and if it had been me, I would never have discovered it, even looking straight at it, but when it started swinging back and forth, you could see the shape of it.

"And when it swung backwards it had around it what looked like a sort of aluminium frame or harness, and it appeared to be caught in a cable in the tree."

The assumption at this point, said Mr Collins, is that the body - if it is a body - is that of an airman who was wearing some kind of parachute harness at the time of his death.

One expedition member even thought he could make out a moss-covered pair of flying goggles around the corpse's neck.

Egypt tycoon held for Tamim death !

Suzanne Tamim rose to fame after appearing on a Lebanese talent show .

Egyptian tycoon Hisham Talaat Moustafa has been arrested and charged over the brutal murder of Lebanese pop star Suzanne Tamim, legal officials say.

Billionaire property developer Mr Moustafa is also a leading figure in the ruling National Democratic Party.

He sits on the Shura Council, Egypt's upper legislative house.

The indictment says Mr Moustafa paid former police officer Muhsin Sukkari $2m to kill Ms Tamim, adding that the motive was revenge.

The Egyptian prosecutor said Mr Sukkari - who was arrested last month - had confessed to Mr Mustafa's involvement in the case.

Hisham Talat Mustafa is one of Egypt's richest and most powerful men. Egyptian prosecutors had banned media reports on the case, which has caused intense interest in Egypt and further afield.

The state news agency said Mr Moustafa had now been stripped of his parliamentary immunity. He and Mr Sukkari could face the death penalty if convicted.

Egyptian media has reported that Ms Tamim had a three-year relationship with Mr Moustafa which ended several months ago.

She rose to fame after appearing on a TV talent show in Lebanon in 1996, but her career was marred by stories about a troubled private life.

She was reported to have fled Lebanon for Egypt some years ago after a number of bitter legal battles with her estranged second husband, music producer Adel Maatouk.

Ms Tamim gave up her career and disappeared from public view in Cairo in 2007.
Her body was found at a flat she owned in Dubai, after she had been repeatedly stabbed and her throat slit, forensic officials said.

Major ice-shelf loss for Canada .

Scientists reported in July that substantial slabs of ice had calved from Ward Hunt Ice Shelf, the largest of the Ellesmere shelves.

Similar changes have been seen in the other four shelves, with the entire 50 sq km (20 sq miles) Markham shelf now said to be floating free in the Arctic Ocean.

The shelves themselves are merely remnants of a much larger feature that was once bounded to Ellesmere Island and covered almost 10,000 sq km (3,500 sq miles).
Over the past 100 years, this expanse of ice has retreated by 90%, and at the start of this summer season covered just under 1,000 sq km (400 sq miles).

Temperatures in the Arctic are now even higher than they were then, and a period of renewed ice shelf break-up has ensued since 2002.

Unlike much of the floating sea-ice which comes and goes, the shelves contain ice that is up to 4,500 years old.

Loss of ice in the Arctic, and in particular the extensive sea-ice, has global implications. The "white parasol" at the top of the planet reflects energy from the Sun straight back out into space, helping to cool the Earth.

Further loss of Arctic ice will see radiation absorbed by darker seawater and snow-free land, potentially warming the Earth's climate at an even faster rate than current observational data indicates.

Google launches internet browser !

Google is launching an open source web browser to compete with Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Called Chrome, it will launch as a beta for Windows machines in 100 countries, with Mac and Linux versions to come.

"We realised... we needed to completely rethink the browser," said Google's Sundar Pichai in a blog post.

The new browser will help Google take advantage of developments it is pushing online in rich web applications that are challenging traditional desktop programs.

90 % Clearence Sale @ Villa Moda !

Well I though it was greatttttttttttt and ran to the stinky movenpick parking lot where the clearence sale is on and was I dissappointed! I mean, its supposed to be so kewl to get designer stuff at low prices but shouldnt the collection like be kewl even if it isnt the latest one ? The clothes were drag, bags very few ( maybe i went too late ) and the service was bad as the lady at the bag section was too busy on the phone and later dint know the price of the bag I liked. I left in a record 8 minutes ! That bad ! Any ho, if any one wants to go for it, its on till the end of the month.

P.S: Real stinky place, I actually had to wash my shoes when i got back ! Sprayed my car too.
It was kinda funny coz there was this lady all glammed up in a sweet purple dress and stillettos walking towards the tent and the place was flooded with gutter water. Not a very sweet smelling site I tell ya !

Protests planned at Katie Holmes' Broadway show.

"We aren't looking to shut it ("All My Sons") down, we don't have the power to do that, we just want to prove a point," an anonymous spokesperson for the Anonymous organization said over the phone, reports MSNBC.
"We want to draw attention to Scientology, and hopefully get Katie out of it before its too late."
Anonymous claims to be a collection of individuals united by ideas. It has currently trained its guns on Scientology but says its previous projects have resulted in the closing of the white-supremacist radio show produced by Hal Turner, and the criminal prosecution of Canadian pedophile Chris Forcand.
Members of the group wear masks when protesting to protect their identities and preclude social, political, and financial risks, because Scientology is a "dangerous cult" with "a well earned reputation for harassing critics and openly critical ex-scientologists at their homes and workplaces."
I noticed that she has changed quiet a bit since she started the scientology thingy ! Its a good change.

Bad Company ! Not that bad after all !

Just tried out the game. The music is whacky kewl for the genre but gives the game a jazzy feel. Fun to play, only thing i dint like is i cant keep more than one weapon at a time. Gotta keep searching for ammo ! I would say its a fun game to play though ! But, to date, nothing beats the Assasins Creed for me !

Ancient Mayan Portal ! Hmm makes me feel like Ruins the movie could be real !

A labyrinth filled with stone temples and pyramids in 14 caves—some underwater—have been uncovered on Mexico`s Yucatán Peninsula, archaeologists announced last week.
The discovery has experts wondering whether Maya legend inspired the construction of the underground complex—or vice versa.

According to Maya myth, the souls of the dead had to follow a dog with night vision on a horrific and watery path and endure myriad challenges before they could rest in the afterlife.
In one of the recently found caves, researchers discovered a nearly 300-foot (90-meter) concrete road that ends at a column standing in front of a body of water.
"We have this pattern now of finding temples close to the water—or under the water, in this most recent case," said Guillermo de Anda, lead investigator at the research sites.
"These were probably made as part of a very elaborate ritual," de Anda said. "Everything is related to death, life, and human sacrifice."

Stretching south from southern Mexico, through Guatemala, and into northern Belize, the Maya culture had its heyday from about A.D. 250 to 900, when the civilization mysteriously collapsed.
